Why are all the neighbors dressed alike?

The prospect of moving into in an Ikea for a week is just compelling: all the things we could get into, all the fun we could have! The employees, albeit it a little confused, looked like they were having a great time with the whole thing. What’s even more compelling is that Ikea swallowed hard and trusted this staffer of The Colbert Report full access to the property and creative control of this PR stunt. Brilliant!

Mortar is #1! (In our hearts.)

The new AdAge 2008 Agency Report is out and Mortar is ranked 346th out of all the agencies in the U.S. Also, Mortar’s revenue grew more than 35 percent between 2006 and 2007, making us 51st fastest growing agency on the annual list.

Of the San Francisco-based agencies on the list, we are number 14, narrowly missing our friends at Buder Engel and Kadium in a tie for twelfth.

This is a classic print ad from the ’60s. Presumably it’s for plastic wrap. But it could also be for your local looney bin or even whatever magical substance that woman is clearly (plastic wrap = clearly, ha!) on.
